Out of school hours care (OSHC)
Modbury School P-6 provides Out of School Hours (OSHC) Care for students from preschool to year 6. This service is run by our governing council.
OSHC is available before and after school, and during school holidays.
Our non-profit OSHC service meets the needs of the school community, from full-time working parents through to families in need of casual or emergency care. Our OSHC service follows the National Quality Framework (NQF) standard and is responsive to each child’s needs.
Benefits to attending OSHC
Children are given breakfast at before-school care and a snack at after-school care.
At OSHC, children interact with friends, learn life skills, solve problems and try new things. They do activities like:
- arts, crafts and cooking
- outdoor games and gardening
- excursions (for vacation care).

Before School Care: $17.50
Before School Care Preschool Students: $22.00
After School Care: $30.00
Vacation Care and Student Free Days: $65.50
Vacation Care Excursion or Incursion Day: $70.00

How to book
Casual OSHC bookings
All casual bookings must be made via the SPIKE system.
Permanent OSHC bookings
All permanent bookings must be made via the SPIKE system.
Vacation care bookings
All vacation care bookings must be made via the vacation care booking form and emailed to nicola.evans716@schools.sa.edu.au.
Please note the July holidays have additional days which will affect your CCS subsidy. This is a parent responsibility to ensure they check their days.

7:00am to 8:35am
$16.50 per before school session
After school care
3:05pm to 6:00pm
$28 per after school session
Early Finish Day (from 2:05pm) $28.50
Student free days
7:00am to 6:00pm
$62.50
Vacation care
7:00am to 6:00pm
$64.00
Excursion and incursion days
7:00am to 6:00pm
$69.00
All fees listed are before CCS % (Government Subsidy).
Bookings and cancellations
Children who do not have a booking will not be able to attend OSHC.
Permanent bookings repeat each week for the term. Places are limited and permanent spots cannot be guaranteed.
Charges will apply if the following cancellation procedures are not followed:
- Vacation care and student free days – 48 hours’ notice required or charge will occur
- Excursions and incursions – 72 hours’ notice required or charge will occur
If child/ren are sick on the day of the booking (emergency cancellation) a doctor’s note will need to be provided for booking to be deleted and no fees charged. (This is due to staffing and costs of the day.)
